Internet Explorer 10 was first announced on Apat the MIX 11 conference in Las Vegas. Internet Explorer 10 is the last version of the Internet Explorer to be called Windows Internet Explorer. On 64-bit versions of Windows 8, the Metro version of IE10 will be the 64-bit version of the browser by default. On Windows 8, it will be divided into two versions with different user interfaces: a new Metro app that will not support plug-ins, and a traditional desktop application that will retain plug-in support. IE10 expands on Internet Explorer 9 functionality in regards to CSS 3 uptake, hardware acceleration, and HTML5 support. The release, only four weeks after the final release of Internet Explorer 9, has been noted as a fast release cycle in the context of the new browser wars. On April 12, 2011, Microsoft released the first "IE10 Platform Preview", which runs only on Windows 7 and later subsequent platform previews run on only Windows 8. Since development finished in 2005, Internet Explorer for Mac doesn't offer even the most basic features that you would consider a prerequisite on any browser nowadays like tabs, extensions, saved sessions or private data management.Windows Internet Explorer 10 (abbreviated as IE10) is the next version of Internet Explorer currently being developed by Microsoft, and the successor to Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer for Mac is incredibly slow, buggy, prone to crashes and freezing and is woefully short of security settings. We couldn't even render the Softonic website in it and indeed, most websites failed to load properly. However, for normal internet browsing we'd really discourage you from using it. However, if you really can't help yourself and are an Internet Explorer nostalgic, you might want to try it for a trip down memory lane. Alternatively, just check out all of the other browsers available for Mac. Since the browser is no longer designed to handle the requirements of most modern web pages, we strongly advise you to try Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera instead. Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and does not provide further security or performance updates.
